Method:
✨Rim glass with sugar

A guide to #LatinaEqualPay 🔊

In 2021, Latinas — including those working part time — earned 54 cents for every dollar their white male counterparts made.

This means that we have to work almost 23 months to make what our white male colleagues made in 12 months, at the same education level, job qualifications, and experience.

According to the pay analysis from NWLC, there is a gap of almost $30,000 a year between Latinas and non-Hispanic white men working full-time. That’s money that won’t be going towards paying rent, buying groceries, putting a down payment on a house, college tuition, etc.

This gap will end up costing the average Latina nearly $1.2 million over a 40-year career.

TLDR: Latinas are severely underpaid.

Take Back Your Power:
💰 Ask for a salary adjustment
🏦 Open a high-yield savings account
💵 Contribute to your 401(k) or Roth IRA and ensure you’re maximizing the employee match
💸 Support Latina owned businesses, hire them, and pay them (Not just Maids over here! Lawyers, Chefs, Creators, Public Speakers, Photographers, etc.)

Way that companies can address the pay gap and equity in the workplace:
💪 Support Latina leadership

🗣️ Invite Latina women to the table when making policy decisions
